About the Role

We are seeking a skilled MOT Tester to join our client's busy servicing department at their well-established, family-run car garage in the local area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough MOT tests, ensuring compliance with VOSA standards, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, identifying any defects or issues
  • Communicate effectively with customers, explaining test results and any necessary repairs
  • Work collaboratively with the garage team to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
  • Maintain accurate records of test results and customer interactions
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices
Requirements
  • Valid MOT Tester Licence
  • Previous experience in an MOT Tester role, preferably in a similar garage environment
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving abilities
