About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team at Lookers Glasgow North Land Rover. As a key member of our workshop, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of vehicle maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

  1. Perform vehicle health checks using the latest technology to identify any issues or areas for improvement.
  2. Conduct vehicle services in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and customer requests, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.
  3. Carry out additional repairs as authorized by the customer, ensuring all work is properly documented and warranty repairs are completed in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
  4. Take customers' vehicles on road tests to ensure all faults are rectified and the vehicle is safe to drive.
  5. Complete all relevant paperwork to a high standard, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of all work completed.

Requirements

We are looking for a qualified Vehicle Technician or Mechanic with a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent. You should have motor industry experience and a full and valid UK driving license. Previous brand experience is desirable but not essential, as brand accreditation training will be provided.

Benefits

As a Vehicle Technician with Lookers, you will enjoy a competitive salary range of £27,000 for a PDI Technician/MOT Tester, £36,000 for a Diagnostics Technician, and £41,000 for a Master Technician, plus an additional £2,000 for EV qualification. You will also be eligible for a joining bonus of £1,000 in the first month of joining the team and £1,000 after 6 months of continuous employment.
