The Job:

  • To provide legal procedural and propriety advice to senior officers, elected members or other persons or bodies
  • To assist in the investigation of complaints, particularly in relation to issues raised with regulatory bodies or internal audit
  • To continuously improve services in area of responsibility, identifying where possible, value for money savings and ways of managing within allocated budgets
  • To remain up to date and compliant with all relevant legislation, organisational procedures, policies and professional codes of conduct

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualified Solicitor or Barrister with relevant post qualification experience
  • Knowledge of standard form contracts such as JCT and NEC is essential
  • At least 3 years of PQE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice on contractual matters
  • Assist in the investigation of complaints and issues
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Stay up to date with relevant legislation and professional codes of conduct
