Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Primary Schools

We are seeking a committed and flexible Teaching Assistant to join our support team in Primary Schools throughout Croydon. This role will suit someone looking to gain experience in different education settings and with children of various ages on a schedule that fits around them.

The Role:

  • As a flexi-cover teaching assistant, you will work across schools and year groups as and when needed, covering staff absence, extra staff required, or intervention support.
  • Support and manage the behavior of pupils while they undertake their work, ensuring a constructive and positive environment is always maintained.
  • De-escalate situations within the classroom, adhering to safeguarding procedures.
  • Work 1:1 as in-class support, working in small groups, and 1:1 with SEND children for short periods, as required.
  • Report any safeguarding concerns using the school's referral procedures and safeguarding policies.
