Job Title: High Level Teaching Assistant with SEN

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced High Level Teaching Assistant with SEN to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting students with special educational needs and providing general cover to lessons when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in implementing tailored learning plans and strategies to benefit students with SEN.
  • Provide general cover to lessons when needed, demonstrating basic literacy and maths skills.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment, supporting students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Assist with personal care, mobility needs, and help those with SEN requirements.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS clearance and uploaded to the update service (or willingness to apply).
  • Full right to work within the UK.
  • Experience as a High Level Teaching Assistant and relevant qualifications for this role.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs and those who need extra support.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting those with SEN.
