We are seeking an experienced, ambitious, and proactive individual to join our team as an Energy Futures Trader. The successful candidate will be responsible for a portfolio of energy futures execution and clearing clients, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, and directly engage with clients.

Key Responsibilities:


Dealing in Exchange Traded Energy Futures and Options, in particular Brent, WTI, and Oil products

Directly corresponding with clients, including banks, hedge funds, market makers, fund managers, institutionals, and trading houses

Responsible for assisting with the onboarding of any new client relationships and maintaining existing client relationships, assisting with support processes as required by colleagues, and engaging and updating clients

Working efficiently and supporting the preparation of any new required frameworks

Collaboration with central operations functions, which support the trading role, including but not limited to Operations and Technology

Strategising to increase P&L, requiring analysis of markets and products

Ensuring compliance with the company's regulatory requirements

Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role, ensuring that all regulatory or company-determined parameters are complied with

Role model for demonstrating the highest level of standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values

At all times complying with the FCA's/regulators Code of Conduct

Carrying out regulatory activities

Liaising with clients in US, UK, Europe, Singapore, Dubai, etc

Ensuring that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role, or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility

Reporting any breaches of policy to Compliance and/or your supervisor as required

Escalating risk events immediately

Providing input to risk management processes, as required

Skills and Experience:


Analytical skills

Comprehensive knowledge of the Energy Futures markets

Substantial experience working in and knowledge of ICE and CME Energy Futures

Demonstrated ability to build sustained long-term relationships with clients
