About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a pioneering School Improvement service within the Isle of Wight Council. As a SEND Teaching and Learning Improvement Officer, you will work closely with Island schools to enhance subject knowledge and expertise.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver training programs to improve subject knowledge and expertise across all Island schools.
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers and staff to ensure they are equipped to meet the needs of children and young people with SEND.
  • Collaborate with schools to develop strategies to improve outcomes for children and young people.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SEND policies and procedures and a commitment to ensuring children and young people achieve their best outcomes.
