Camp Manager Job Description

Job Summary:

The Camp Manager is a key role in the delivery of our multi-activity holiday childcare programs. We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic professional to lead our team and ensure the welfare and safety of the children on camp.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and motivate a team of staff to deliver high-quality care and activities.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to, including health and safety and safeguarding procedures.
  • Lead camp induction days and ensure staff are prepared for the season.
  • Liaise with parents, host schools, and Head Office to ensure smooth camp operations.
  • Manage administrative duties, including sign-in and sign-out procedures, registration, and staff rotas.
  • Collaborate with specialist program teams to ensure seamless camp operations.
  • Continuously promote the welfare of children and ensure high-quality childcare provision.

Requirements:

  • Qualified or working towards a qualification in childcare, teaching, or coaching, with significant experience working with children.
  • Natural leadership skills and management experience, ideally in the holiday camp, childcare, teaching, or coaching sectors.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Good working knowledge of camp activities and ability to adapt to situations.
  • Pro-active and conscientious, with a commitment to delivering high-quality care and activities.
