The Costing Accountant is a key financial expert responsible for providing accurate and timely cost information to support Divisional colleagues and NHS England in line with local and national costing guidance, standards, and timelines.

Main Duties
  • Develop and maintain the Trust's Costing Processes and Costing System, working closely with Information and Divisional Teams, and all other areas of the Finance Department.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a Technician Accountancy qualification or equivalent knowledge, experience in Financial Management, Costing, or Financial Services, and knowledge of the Local and National key financial policies, including Standing Financial Instructions, Standing Orders, Budgetary Control Policy, and Establishment control policies.

  • Microsoft Office skills, including advanced Excel.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret large volumes of data.
  • Ability to communicate financial information to non-finance managers.
