SEN Teaching Assistant Job Description

**Job Title:** SEN Teaching Assistant

**Job Type:** Contract, Full-Time hours

**Industry:** Education and Training

**Salary:** £450 - £480 Per week, benefits include PAYE

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide support to post 16 students with special educational needs in a classroom setting. The successful candidate will work closely with the teacher to implement individual education plans and support students with their learning and development.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Assist the teacher in implementing individual education plans for students with SEN
* Support students with their learning and development
* Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Provide one-to-one support to students as required
* Assist with classroom management and behaviour strategies
* Collaborate with other staff members and professionals to support student progress

**Required Qualifications:**

* Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
* Relevant experience working with children or young people with SEN
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools
* Diploma in Health and Social care
* Training in Manual Handling and Safeguarding
* First Aid certification
