Job Title: Building and Maintenance Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Facilities and Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities. The successful candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and operations, with experience in managing a team and overseeing maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop a team of trades and technical staff to ensure delivery of maintenance services
  • Oversee all planned and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring they are scheduled and completed in line with current legislation and guidelines
  • Plan and manage resources, procure, and manage external contractor services to meet the needs of the business
  • Communicate the objectives and plans to various stakeholders, including trades contractors, parts suppliers, utility providers, and external auditors
  • Work closely with Senior Management, Health & Safety, Project teams, Learning & Development, Procurement, Maintenance Team, and Mobile Pool Plant Team

Requirements:

  • HND or equivalent level in a technical/construction field, preferably with a management element
  • An in-depth understanding of the Construction Design & Management Regulations 2015 (CDM)
  • Demonstrable experience leading a multi-trade maintenance team, planning and resourcing maintenance activities, and procuring and managing contractors
  • Extensive experience in operating in accordance with H&S policies, including conducting risk assessments and ensuring legislative compliance
