Responsibilities:
  • Defining AWS architectural patterns and infrastructure design
  • Promoting best practices and defining deployment and security standards
  • Conducting architectural reviews and guiding development teams to adhere to CCoE design principles

Activity Overview:
The role involves designing and onboarding several new projects onto the platform over the next 12 months. The job requires assisting solution architects in AWS infrastructure design and data migration of Environment Agency's Flood Data to AWS. Ensuring the AWS platform aligns with the UK's Secure by Design principles is crucial.

Expectations:
  • Addressing infra gaps in migration design, updating HLD, LLD, identifying AWS implementation steps, and overseeing the installation and configuration of AWS migration components
  • Updating the High-Level Design (HLD) and taking it through governance
  • Enhancing documentation quality, ensuring it is clear, concise, and well-structured
  • Collaborating with stakeholders, including CCoE team members, developers, and operations staff
  • Implementing security controls and encryption measures to protect data at rest and in transit

Salary: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications.
