Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team at Glover Road Haulage. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods across various locations using bulker, curtain sider, wagon, and drag working within the agricultural industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive and operate a lorry to transport goods (straw bales, grain, sugar beet, vegetables, and other products) to designated locations.
  • Load and unload cargo safely and securely.
  • Plan delivery routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and traffic laws while on the road.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience operating a HGV Class 1 Vehicle.
  • Valid HGV 1 Driving Licence.
  • Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to be multiskilled for all vehicles as above effectively and safely.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Low Loader experience would be an advantage.
