We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team, someone who enjoys variety in their work and is passionate about providing value to clients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that clients' invoices, payments, and receipts are processed accurately, preparing statutory accounts, and assisting with VAT returns and management accounts.
This role would be perfect for a detail-oriented individual with previous bookkeeping experience gained within an accountancy practice or industry. If you have practical knowledge of accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.
Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for clients from various transactional streams
- Assist in reconciliations, performing month-end and year-end procedures
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of VAT returns in line with HMRC regulations
- Advise clients on complex bookkeeping matters and business initiatives
- Prepare management accounts, including cash-flows and forecasts
