Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team at a client school in Lincoln. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and nurturing learning environment for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to develop individualised support plans.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback.
- Support students during break times and extracurricular activities.
- Help maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an SEMH Teaching Assistant is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
- Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2 or 3, or NVQ, are desirable but not essential.
- Team Teach training required.
- Ability to adapt to the needs of individual students.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service.
- Passion for working with children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
