Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Social Work Practice Development Specialist to join our Children with Complex Health & Disability Team. In this role, you will work closely with our practice supervision group and the Principal Social Worker to embed best practices across all service areas. Your primary responsibility will be to support the Team Manager in overseeing practice, conducting reflective conversations, quality assurance, and contributing to performance management.

Your expertise will also involve working collaboratively with the Workforce and Learning Service as well as the Student and ASYE programme leads. As a seasoned professional, you must demonstrate resilience and a deep understanding of the complexities of children's social work. We particularly welcome applications from candidates with significant experience in managing complex case work, including child protection and court proceedings, and who have a proven track record of developing good practice.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess at least 4 years' relevant social work experience, with 3 years post-qualification and a minimum of 6 months as an experienced social worker. Paid or voluntary work in a similar field will be considered at application stage. Holding the Stage 2 Practice Educator Award is desirable, but we encourage applicants willing to start the award within 6 months of taking up the position.
