Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Residential Property Paralegal to join our leading Property team at EJ Legal. As a key member of our team, you will assist with a variety of duties and responsibilities, including exposure to investment property and other property finance matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with leasehold and freehold sales and purchases, ensuring seamless transaction execution.
  • Manage all post-completion matters, including land registry applications and stamp duty submissions, to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Liaise with third-party lenders and estate agents to facilitate smooth communication and timely completion of tasks.
  • Conduct searches and pre-completion tasks to ensure accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Handle registrations and other administrative tasks to support the team's efforts.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of prior property experience, preferably in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with SDLT returns, lease renewals, deeds of variation, searches, and obtaining documentation from HM Land Registry.
  • Experience with pre- and post-completion matters, including SAR (Solicitors Account Rules) compliance.
  • Strong academic results, including a law degree or equivalent qualification.
