As a Pharmacy Technician in Medicines Management, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient use of medicines across the hospital setting.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Medicines Management team in the safe distribution and administration of medication across hospital departments.
- Conduct medication reviews, including the review of clinical records and drug histories.
- Ensure compliance with legal and hospital policies regarding medication storage, handling, and administration.
- Provide expert advice to healthcare professionals on medicines use, including drug interactions, side effects, and dosing.
- Participate in stock management and control, including stock rotation, ordering, and inventory management.
- Assist in the training and development of junior pharmacy staff.
- Contribute to audit and quality improvement initiatives within the pharmacy service.
