We are seeking a skilled Building Surveyor to join our Property Services team at Brent Council-Housing. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering a proactive surveying service that is commercially focused and provides excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical knowledge of building disciplines, with the ability to accurately diagnose and manage technical repair solutions. You will also have a working knowledge of repair responsibilities, leasehold obligations, construction improvement, servicing, repair works, dampness, and condensation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a comprehensive technical surveying function, maximizing its effectiveness and financial performance.
  • Manage contractors and stakeholders across the business, building strong relationships.
  • Uphold guidelines set out by the Social Housing Regulation Act 2023, ensuring the safety and quality of our social housing.
Requirements
  • HNC, HND, BTEC HND, or higher in a building discipline, or over five years of hands-on experience in repairs surveying or construction.
  • Strong technical knowledge and ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders.
  • Experience of building maintenance in a local authority or other registered social landlord.
