SEN Mechanics Instructor/Teacher Job Opportunity

Prospero Teaching is seeking a skilled SEN Mechanics Instructor/Teacher to join an SEMH College in South Norwood.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach and guide students through practical and theoretical aspects of motor vehicle maintenance, repair, and diagnostics.
  • Deliver lessons on various mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
  • Support and encourage students with SEMH needs, helping them overcome challenges and succeed in their learning.
  • Create and maintain a positive learning environment tailored to individual student needs.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, offering constructive feedback and adapting teaching methods where necessary.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the well-being and development of each student.
Requirements:
  • In-depth knowledge and practical experience with motor vehicle mechanics, including repair and diagnostic processes.
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs is essential.
  • Strong communication and patience in delivering complex information in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • A passion for teaching and mentoring young people to develop their mechanical skills.
  • City & Guilds (C&G) qualifications or experience is highly desirable.
