About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Highway Maintenance Scheduler to join our team at Connect Plus Services. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance activities on the M25 motorway.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement efficient maintenance schedules to ensure the smooth operation of the highway network.
- Collaborate with the O&M Manager to optimize resource allocation and minimize downtime.
- Manage rota and liaise with Shift Managers to ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Maximize the use of plant and materials, identifying shortfalls and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all road space is booked and used efficiently through coordination with internal and external works.
- Assist the O&M Manager with detailed resource planning, including people, plant, and materials.
- Process weekly and monthly timesheets, ensuring accurate cost allocation.
- Manage databases and records related to Severe Weather Events and planned preventative maintenance.
- Provide general administrative support within a working depot environment.
- Live the Connect Plus Services Values and ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm.
Requirements
- CSCS card holder Site Visitor/Operative.
- Previous experience in highway maintenance or regulated sectors (e.g., rail/utilities).
- Knowledge and experience of Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality standards within a highways context.
- Current UK driving license.
- Previous experience of working in an operational depot environment.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project).
- Experience of purchasing and/or storekeeping.
- Experience of planning shift rotas.
