Job Title: HGV Class C+E Drivers Wanted for National Distribution Centre

Job Description:

Pertemps Sheffield is seeking experienced Class C+E drivers to join our team at a national distribution centre. As a Class C+E driver, you will be responsible for transporting products to retail stores from the distribution centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trunking work to regional distribution centres
  • No handballing or lifting required
  • Opening back doors and ensuring loads are safely secured
  • Completing daily delivery paperwork and log sheets
  • Driving safely and adhering to company policies

Working Hours:

  • Earlies: 01:00-03:00 (generally weekends only)
  • Afters and Nights: 12:00-21:00 (with a 2-3 hour window gap)

Requirements:

  • Hold a LGV C+E licence with a minimum of 6 months driving experience
  • A driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points and free of endorsements such as DD's, DR's or IN10s
  • Possession of an OPS35 (DHL) assessment is desirable but not essential

Salary and Benefits:

  • Monday to Friday rates: £17.54ph (days) and £26.32ph (nights)
  • Saturday all hours: £18.62ph (based on a minimum of 8hrs flat rates)
  • Sunday all hours: £22.62ph (based on a minimum of 8hrs flat rates)
  • Break deductions of 45 minutes taken after anything worked over 8 hours

Additional Benefits:

  • Accrual of holiday pay based on 2 days a month on a 40hr week
  • Enrolment in an optional pension scheme
  • Statutory sick pay (SSP) after a certain period of working time
