About the Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Physics Teacher to join our team at a vibrant secondary school in Dover. As a Physics Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire students and help them develop a deep understanding of physics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Physics lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Learning Environment: Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment that encourages students to achieve their potential.
  • Assessment and Record-Keeping: Assess, record, and report on the progress and development of students.
  • Student Support: Support students in their academic journey, helping them to prepare for GCSE and A-Level exams.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to ensure the best learning outcomes.
  • Department Meetings and Events: Participate in department meetings, extra-curricular activities, and school events.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Physics or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of the KS3, KS4, and KS5 Physics curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for teaching and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
