About the role

This position is part of the Fieldwork and Survey section, encompassing field archaeologists, geomatic surveyors, and project managers. As a key member of the team, the postholder will be responsible for conducting archaeological surveys, staking out trenches, and processing and disseminating survey data. Effective communication and collaboration with team members, as well as staff from other sections and administrative staff, are essential.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will require a degree or post-graduate qualification in Archaeology or a relevant subject, coupled with previous employment in UK contract archaeology in a survey or fieldwork-related capacity. Proficiency in using specialist survey equipment and manipulating archaeological data using GIS or CAD software is also necessary.
