A forward-thinking organisation is seeking a dedicated and professionally qualified Chief Accountant with a local government background to oversee the day-to-day monitoring of our financial position.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure alignment of the organisation's financial position with corporate and service strategies.
  2. Develop and implement financial plans and strategies to optimise resource allocation.
  3. Coordinate and develop the medium-term financial plan, revenue budget, and capital programme.
  4. Lead the monitoring of capital strategy, budgets, funding, and medium-term programmes.
  5. Act as the lead officer for borrowing and investments.
  6. Manage the preparation and management of the final accounts process.
  7. Manage the audit and lead a large team to deliver insightful and timely financial information.
