Job Overview
This role provides comprehensive clerical support to the Day Treatment Centre, requiring exceptional communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a busy environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for dealing with inquiries, managing appointments, and providing administrative assistance.
Key Responsibilities
- Clerical Support: Ensure all communication is handled discreetly and sensitively, maintaining confidentiality and respecting patient and staff privacy.
- Appointment Management: Coordinate appointments, cancellations, and queries via phone, email, or in-person, ensuring timely and efficient service.
- Patient Care: Provide administration support, ensuring the desk is always manned, and respond to patient queries in a professional manner.
- Medway Operations: Complete patient discharges on the hospital IT system (Medway), manage patient demographics, and record patient activity accurately.
- Transportation and Translation Services: Arrange patient transport services and translation services as required, ensuring seamless communication and care.
- Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective team performance, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
Requirements
- Education: Educated to A-Level, with desirable NVQ level 3 qualifications.
- Skills and Abilities: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well within a team.
- Knowledge and Experience: General admin duties, working in a busy environment, and an understanding of the NHS.
Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience and location.
Safeguarding Children and Adults: Familiarity with and compliance with the Trust's safeguarding policies and procedures, including London Child Protection Procedures and protocols for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people.
