Prosthetist Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Prosthetist to join our team at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will provide an exceptional Orthotic service to patients in Mid and North Nottinghamshire.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of prosthetic devices and be able to assess patient needs accurately.

• Clinical Assessment: Undertake thorough clinical assessments and examinations of patients to provide suitable specialist orthotic prescriptions.
• Data Collection: Record accurate measurements and data to ensure the precision of patient prescriptions.
• Risk Evaluation: Perform risk assessments when selecting components for customised devices to guarantee patient safety.
• Device Evaluation: Evaluate completed devices on patients to ensure optimal quality, comfort, and mechanical integrity.
• Liaison and Support: Maintain effective communication with technical support personnel to ensure best current practices in meeting patients' needs.
