Deputy Manager Nursing Home Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at a beautiful nursing home in Altrincham. As a key member of our management team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing operations within the home to achieve goals and ensure the provision of excellent care.
  • Oversee the care staff and assume full management in the event of the Home Manager's absence.
  • Train and supervise care staff in all aspects of their work, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Home Manager to conduct pre-admission assessments of residents, ensuring that each resident's care plan and daily records are up-to-date.
  • Foster effective communication with residents' families and other organizations, ensuring a seamless and supportive experience.
Requirements:
  • NMC registered nurse with relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with residents, families, and staff.
  • Good working knowledge of CQC standards and regulations.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with external care professionals, families, and visitors.
