Job Opportunity at Streethay Wharf

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Engineer/Mechanic to join our team at Streethay Wharf. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the repair, service, and maintenance of engines, as well as the repair and maintenance of AC/DC electrical systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in the repair and maintenance of diesel engines, electrical systems, and gas systems. You will also have excellent customer service skills and be able to communicate effectively with customers.

We offer a competitive salary of up to £28,300 per year, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including company pension, employee discount, and free parking. The role is part-time, with 32 hours per week during the summer season and 30 hours per week during the winter season, including alternating Saturdays.

Specific training will be provided for the successful candidate, and there is also opportunity for extra training should you wish to pursue this. Depending on business needs, there may be opportunity for this role to develop into a full-time position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair, service, and maintenance of engines
  • Repair and maintenance of AC/DC electrical systems
  • Knowledge of gas systems and plumbing
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in marine engineering
  • Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle for commuting
