Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Operations Manager to lead the mobilisation, deployment, and commercial delivery of our heavy maintenance projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Mobilisation and Deployment: Drive the successful mobilisation, deployment, and commercial delivery of our heavy maintenance projects.
  2. Project Management: Foster effective internal and external working relationships that deliver all key elements of Heavy Maintenance contracts.
  3. Team Development: Develop and manage a high-performing team of Project Managers, Engineers and Planners to support projects.
  4. Performance Management: Conduct regular Performance Development Reviews with direct reports, ensuring they meet their performance objectives.
  5. Bid Support: Provide input to support potential new work opportunities and contracts, working closely with the bid team.
  6. Project Mobilization: Lead the mobilization for new projects, including development of deliverables such as resource plans, work breakdown structures, tooling requirements, risk register, Bill of Material(s), Specification Review – all in accordance with company Heavy Maintenance Mobilization procedure.
  7. Customer Management: Deliver excellent customer service, identifying and developing opportunities to maximise revenues and cost savings.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

  • Relevant engineering qualifications and experience.
  • Proven track record in rail vehicle maintenance activities.
  • Significant project management experience.
