Job Title: Yard Operative

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Yard Operative to join our Site Services Team in Burton on Trent. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our designated facility and outdoor areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and stock designated areas, including sweeping, jetting, mopping, and dusting, to meet contract requirements and standards.
  • Attend to minor spills and carry out PPM cleaning as per schedule and standards.
  • Move and/or remove items, furniture, and equipment around the site.
  • Drive company van and segregate materials to correct waste streams.
  • Prepare and package recyclable materials for despatch.
  • Keep the area tidy and perform daily and weekly checks of skips within the areas.
  • Provide excellent customer service, handling ad hoc enquiries from Helpdesk users and other customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Report completed jobs as per process and undertake other duties within the Site Services Team to cover the rota requirements.
Requirements:
  • A proven ability to work as a member of a team and enjoy working in the outside environment.
  • Ability to use own initiative and work efficiently in a busy environment.
  • The ability to follow instructions and work efficiently.
  • Awareness of health and safety regulations and a full and valid driving licence.
  • Compliance with the company's corporate environmental policy, statutory regulations on Safe Systems of Work, hygiene, Health and Safety, cleanliness, fire, COSHH, and site rules.
  • Willingness to input additional hours as per business requirements.
