Materials Handler

Role Summary:

This position is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing processes in our Materials department located in the UK. As a Materials Operator, you will be involved in the movement and handling of materials, equipment operation, and quality control measures.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure a safe working environment by promptly reporting hazards and incidents.
2. Adhere to HSE standards and use personal protective equipment to protect yourself and colleagues from potential harm.
3. Enhance quality by following quality procedures and performing inspections to ensure high-quality products are produced.
4. Reduce costs by identifying and controlling non-conforming materials to minimize waste and reduce production costs.
5. Meet production goals by operating equipment efficiently and achieving production targets.
6. Maintain cleanliness by keeping your work area clean and performing routine maintenance to ensure smooth operations.
7. Collaborate effectively with your team and support staff to foster a cooperative and productive work environment.
8. Engage in training and actively participate in improvement initiatives to enhance processes and personal development.

Requirements:

Education/Experience:

1. While not required, experience operating PIV equipment is beneficial in contributing to a safe, efficient, and productive workplace.
2. Attention to Detail: Ability to follow procedures and specifications meticulously to ensure quality and accuracy in handling and delivering materials.
3. Time Keeping: Delivering materials in a timely manner to minimize downtime and keep the production line running smoothly.
4. Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
5. Teamwork and Communication: Ability to collaborate effectively within the Materials team and across departments.
