About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Asbestos Lead Surveyor to join our client, a leading facilities management and maintenance contractor in the UK. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality asbestos surveying services to clients across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct asbestos surveys and inspections in accordance with current health and safety guidelines and company policies.
  • Ensure quality and professionalism at all times, adhering to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Oversee all aspects of the survey process, including sampling, re-inspections, and data collection.
  • Assess sites for additional risks and liaise with clients to ensure all areas are accessible and safe.
  • Agree and define any deviations from the agreed scope of work.
  • Lead surveys and mentor trainee surveyors as needed.
  • Manage and maintain all equipment and PPE issued by the company.
  • Document inspections in accordance with company procedures.
Requirements
  • BOHS P402 (or equivalent) Buildings surveys and Bulk Sampling for Asbestos qualification.
  • Minimum of 1 year's experience post-qualification.
  • Flexible approach to commute and out of hours work.
  • Flexibility in working various shift changes and traveling to sites throughout the UK and at times offshore.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages and asbestos data collection software.
  • Experience in collecting data using hand-held mobile devices.
  • Literacy/Numeracy to company standards.
