The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Head Chef to join our team at Hallmark Care Homes. As a Head Chef, you will have the opportunity to deliver hotel/restaurant standards without the split shifts and long weeks. You will have full autonomy in creating nutritious, flavoursome, and well-balanced menus tailored around our residents' preferences.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop menus that cater to our residents' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Lead a team of culinary professionals and provide guidance on culinary excellence.
  • Manage budgets and ensure high standards of food quality.
  • Conduct regular audits and manage stock control to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.

Requirements

  • Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualifications in culinary arts.
  • Have experience in leading, motivating, and inspiring a culinary team.
  • Have a good understanding of nutrition and dietary requirements.
  • Have experience working with fresh seasonal food and creating appetising and nutritious menus.
  • Have a good understanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles.
