Job Overview

The NWH Group is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our team in Edinburgh. As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on HGV vehicles, diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues, and conducting inspections to identify necessary repairs or replacements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HGV vehicles
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
  • Conduct inspections and identify any necessary repairs or replacements
  • Fabricate and weld components as needed
  • Assemble and disassemble vehicle parts
  • Use hand tools and equipment to complete tasks
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an HGV Technician or similar role
  • Proficient in using hand tools and equipment
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanics and electrical systems
  • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues
  • Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Customer service-oriented mindset
