Job Title: Head of Legal

Job Summary:

Taylor Root is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Legal to join their team in Bedfordshire. As a key member of the People Committee, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing people strategy, ensuring alignment with the business growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance to the Executive Committee on employment law matters across the UK, Ireland, and Germany operations.
  • Manage external legal providers, establishing a new panel to optimize legal support while delivering cost efficiencies for the business.
  • Work closely with the Chief People Officer and other senior leaders to develop and implement people strategy.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and the Executive Team, providing strategic counsel on employment-related matters.
  • Support the international strategy, partnering closely with the Germany team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in UK Employment Law.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex legal concepts to a diverse audience.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging with senior leadership and external legal partners.
  • A pragmatic, solutions-driven approach, with a focus on identifying improvements and delivering creative, business-enhancing solutions.
