About the Job

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Technician - Electrical Engineer to join our client's team in Worksop. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of electrical systems and machinery.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical maintenance and repair, with experience working in a fast-paced production environment.

Job Description
  • Maintenance & Repair: Performing routine and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and machinery.
  • Fault Diagnosis: Identifying and repairing electrical faults quickly to reduce downtime.
  • PLC Troubleshooting: Understanding and working with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems.
  • Problem Solving: Fault-finding on electrical machinery and implementing effective solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborating with the maintenance and engineering teams to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Accurate Reporting: Recording maintenance activities and repairs using the SAP CMMS system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and machinery.
  • Identify and repair electrical faults quickly to reduce downtime.
  • Understand and work with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems.
  • Fault-find on electrical machinery and implement effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance and engineering teams to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Record maintenance activities and repairs using the SAP CMMS system.

Requirements:

  • Time-served electrical maintenance qualification (apprenticeship or equivalent).
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong PLC systems knowledge and expertise in electrical fault-finding.
  • The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

Working Conditions:
