We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team at Royal Mail Group. As a key member of our commercial vehicle workshop, you will be responsible for performing a range of inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures on a variety of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.
You will work on a flexible shift rota, supporting your team where necessary, and take pride in your work to ensure the job is done effectively. With a fleet of over 49,000 vehicles, including traditional fuel and electric vehicles, LCVs and HGVs, maintaining our vehicles is a true team effort.
Key Responsibilities- Perform full range of inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.
- Use your own personal toolkit to undertake routine maintenance and repair light / heavy goods vehicles.
- Access to specialist tooling and shared equipment in our modern, fully equipped workshops.
- Qualified mechanic: fully qualified to an advanced level (IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent).
- Varied vehicle experience: proven Vehicle Technician experience working on a wide range of vehicles, for example LCV.
- Valid UK driving licence: hold a full manual UK driving licence.
- High working standards: take pride in your work and do what is necessary to make sure the job is done effectively.
- Flexible to service demands: able to work on a flexible shift rota and support your team where necessary.
