About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our radiotherapy team as an Apprentice Therapeutic Radiographer. This exciting opportunity will allow you to start a career in a highly rewarding allied health profession, combining patient care with advanced technical skills.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will work under the direct supervision of registered practitioners to participate in the delivery of a safe and high-quality radiotherapy service. You will undertake on-the-job training alongside BSc study with the University of the West of England (UWE) over a -month period.

Successful completion of the training will allow you to register as a qualified therapeutic radiographer with the HCPC. We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, caring, and highly motivated, with excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the delivery of a safe and high-quality radiotherapy service
  • Undertake on-the-job training and BSc study with UWE
  • Work under the direct supervision of registered practitioners
  • Develop advanced technical skills and patient care

Working Pattern

You will be contracted to work hours per week, with four days ( hours) per week spent in the department and one day ( hours) per week protected study time. There are 3 planned block study weeks per year at UWE.
