Are you a motivated graduate looking to kick-start your career in construction? Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland is offering a unique development opportunity for an ambitious individual to join our team as a Graduate Site Installation Management Trainee.

About the Role

This exciting programme is designed to fast-track your career in construction, equipping you with the skills and knowledge to become a Contracts Manager in 2-3 years. As a Trainee Contracts Manager, you will work closely with our experienced team to review and develop our installation process, building skills and knowledge in site installation and Contracts Management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct time and motion studies to improve construction efficiency
  • Collect and maintain operational records for compliance purposes
  • Develop recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Inspect traditional build plots for compliance with site working drawings
  • Learn to achieve appointed person status for crane/lift plans
  • Review health and safety compliance on site and build scaffold appreciation
  • Communicate with site managers about future build requirements
  • Conduct first-fix inspections to ensure correct installation
  • Liaise with sub-contractors
What We're Looking For
  • Graduate from a suitable/related discipline (e.g., Building Materials, Construction, Quantity Surveying, Sub Contractor)
  • Strong understanding of traditional build methods and how OSS solutions can complement them
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Confidence to make suggestions and professionally challenge the way things are done
