Job Role:

Agricultural Machinery Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Agricultural Machinery Engineer to join our client's rapidly expanding engineering team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing a range of agricultural machinery, including tractors, combines, and balers.

The Package:
  • 32 days holiday including bank holidays, increasing with service
  • All overtime after 37.5 hours paid at 1.5X midweek, x2 on Sundays and Bank Holidays
  • Plenty of overtime available per week (average availability is 15-20 hours)
  • Additional £5,850pa / Average (15 hours) : Additional £17,550pa
  • Holiday overtime pay – paid in May (£1,500 paid last year)
  • Ongoing commitment to training and progression
  • Pension scheme – 3% employee minimum, 8% employer
  • Company van, Fuel Card, mobile phone etc
  • All Travel Time, Expenses paid from home to/from site.
The Duties:
  • Accurately diagnosing faults, servicing and carrying out emergency repairs/breakdowns on agricultural machinery
  • Travel to customer sites to ensure all machinery is maintained and repaired to the highest quality
  • Carry out diagnostics to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on agricultural and horticultural machinery
  • Liaising with clients to diagnose faults and find solutions for them
The Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities (essential)
  • Previous experience working within the Agricultural industry experience (essential)
  • Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience (advantageous)
  • Experience working with engines and batteries (advantageous)
  • Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)
