Medical Science Liaison: Neuroscience Specialist

We're seeking a highly skilled Medical Science Liaison to join our Neuroscience team.

About the Role:

The Medical Science Liaison will be responsible for maintaining and communicating deep scientific knowledge in the field of neuroscience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and effectively communicate deep scientific knowledge in the field of neuroscience.
  • Engage in continuous learning to maintain the highest level of technical expertise within the therapeutic area.
  • Excel at customer engagement and support medical/scientific information needs of scientific experts.
  • Synthesize complex data and effectively communicate meaningful clinical insights and unanswered customer questions to Lilly medical and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrate strategic analysis, territory mapping, planning, and prioritization to maximize efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in Health Sciences (PharmD, MD or PhD in a medically related field) with at least two (2) years of relevant clinical or therapeutic experience desired.
  • Masters or Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences (e.g. BSN, RPh, PA, NP) considered with at least Five (5) years of clinical, research or industry experience.
  • Field-based position requires the ability to travel up to 80% and work up to 4 to 6 weekends a year.
  • Intellectual curiosity about the field of science/medicine for which they are responsible.
  • Learning agility and Intellectual curiosity within the field of Science/Medicine and comprehending and effectively communicating large amounts of complex scientific content.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, effectively managing multiple priorities and projects.
  • Share scientific and customer data via advanced presentations and demonstrate a high standard of computer skills with expertise in literature identification.
  • Effective strategic and critical thinking allows analysis, assessment and evaluation of information and interpret the impact or relevance to future states.
  • The ability to use field-based electronic or other communication tools for all aspects of the job is critical.
  • Resiliency in managing complex challenges.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, including high emotional intelligence and the ability to engage in professional relationship-building and networking.

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Familiarity with health systems, academic communities, medical research, and the medical education process is highly valued.
  • ABPI code examination to be completed within one (1) year.
