About the Role

Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a skilled Project Planner to join our team on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking a crucial role within a leading steel fabrication specialist, working across a wide range of industry sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end Planner management, starting from inception stage and taking the project through various stages such as investigation, bid, outline design, detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Hold Programme control and project monitoring performance duties, ensuring effective delivery of the programmes.
  • Manage and oversee the production of outline and detailed programs that include timelines for drawings, tender documents, specifications, etc.
  • Experience with programming (i.e., Primavera, MS project, etc.) and program control systems.
  • Develop and regularly update project-specific programmes throughout the lifecycle of the project.
  • Ensure constructability and planning reviews are carried out in a timely manner.
  • Manage programme change effectively on the project and follow company quality management processes for the management of change on a project and follow TQ processes and Compensation Event processes under the contract.
  • Integrate Subcontractors' and Suppliers' programmes on the overall project programmes.

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present and communicate complex information to a wide range of audiences.
  • Ability to build, maintain, and manage strong client relationships.
  • Monitoring and proactively managing all project programmes, working closely with construction managers, chairing programme meetings to co-ordinate construction activities.
  • Proficient in P6 and MS project software.
  • Proven success in supporting delivery of NEC Contracts.
  • Steelwork experience would be beneficial.
