Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising our Construction team on health and safety matters, monitoring the health and safety performance of our projects, and ensuring compliance with Exyte's EHS Department policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain an effective EHS management system, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Supervise the observance of safe practices and local regulations, providing guidance and support to management and employees as needed.
- Advise management on EHS matters, including risk assessment, hazard identification, and control measures.
- Organize and implement EHS programs and activities to promote safe conduct of workers, including training, inspections, and audits.
- Report and liaise with management and relevant authorities on accident occurrences, conducting thorough investigations and implementing corrective actions.
- Conduct daily inspections to identify and address unsafe acts and conditions, promoting a culture of safety and well-being.
- Train and monitor employees on safe work practices, ensuring compliance with Exyte's EHS policies and procedures.
- Maintain and monitor EHS records and checklists, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure that the Project EHS Induction is delivered to all employees and contractors, providing a comprehensive understanding of Exyte's EHS policies and procedures.
- Ensure that the latest revision of Exyte's EHS documents is in use, maintaining currency and relevance.
- Set an example for all supervisors, employees, and contractors, promoting a culture of safety and well-being.
Requirements
- Engineering degree and Master's degree with 10+ years' experience in Environmental Health and Safety on Major Construction projects and Operational/Manufacturing sites in the Semi-Conductor and Pharmaceutical Industry.
- Key experience in Impact Prevention Management Systems, Safety Management Systems, Design Safety Risk assessment, and Environmental Programs, as well as Team/Group Leadership.
