Event Management Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Event Management Specialist to join our team at Greenpower Education Trust, a UK charity that inspires young people to excel in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math's (STEM) by challenging them to design, build, and race an electric car.
The successful candidate will be responsible for event organisation and administration, including planning, race administration, volunteer recruitment, and liaison with teams. This is a full-time role with 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with regular weekends away.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Making a positive contribution to Team meetings and ongoing communication with the wider team.
- Managing incidents and complaints during events.
- Being a role model for young people and team members, presenting a positive can-do attitude.
- Committing to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Representing the Greenpower positively and effectively in all dealings.
Estimated salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Essential Experience Required- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise and organise.
- Excellent communicator.
- Ability to efficiently manage your own time and workload.
- Ability to make decisions and stand by those decisions.
- Knowledge of the events & hospitality industry, particularly within a motorsport setting.
- Hold a full UK Driving License and be willing to drive Manual and Automatic vehicles, including vans and towing a trailer.
- Be able to contribute to the physical aspects of the role, including packing/unpacking of vehicles and being on your feet for long periods of time.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organisational and administration skills, and IT literacy across Microsoft applications and systems.
