Teaching Assistant Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in Lowestoft and surrounding areas. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to students with SEN, focusing on their educational and personal development.
- Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver engaging and tailored lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Establish a supportive and nurturing classroom atmosphere, promoting independence and confidence among students.
- Work closely with colleagues and external professionals to develop and implement tailored support plans for students with SEN.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior, contributing to comprehensive assessments and reports.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with SEN experience.
- A genuine passion for working with children and young people, with a patient and empathetic approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to thrive in different educational settings.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) are desirable but not essential.
