Job Description: The Clinical Unit Assistant is a vital member of our healthcare team at Care New England Health System. In this role, you will be responsible for managing medical records, processing physician orders, and coordinating non-nursing services within the unit. Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients in the assigned unit.
  • Process and transcribe physician orders, ensuring timely completion of necessary forms and requisitions.
  • Assist with inventory management, maintaining a safe and clean working environment, and updating unit forms as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service, greeting visitors, screening calls, and answering inquiries related to departmental functions.
  • Prepare medical records upon discharge, copying records and obtaining necessary discs for patient transfers or discharges.
  • Assist with accessing reports, filing documents, and maintaining a neat and orderly medical record system.
  • Attend daily interdisciplinary discharge rounds and participate in shift-to-shift safety huddles.

Requirements: A high school diploma and a minimum of one year of job-related experience or equivalent are required. Basic computer skills and medical terminology are also essential for this role. Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
