Job Title: Health and Safety Specialist
Job Summary:
Vickerstock is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, customers, and the environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Health and Safety Management: Develop, implement, and maintain effective health and safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement controls to minimize risks.
- Training and Awareness: Provide training and awareness programs to employees on health and safety procedures, policies, and best practices.
- Incident Investigation and Reporting: Investigate and report on incidents, near misses, and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Compliance and Audits: Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety laws, regulations, and industry standards. Conduct internal audits to ensure effectiveness of health and safety management systems.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate health and safety information to employees, management, and stakeholders. Collaborate with other departments to ensure health and safety is integrated into all aspects of the business.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Relevant NEBOSH qualification or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in a health and safety role, preferably in a manufacturing industry.
- Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent IT skills, including MS Office.
Desirable: Previous experience within the manufacturing industry, internal auditor certifications, and management experience.
