Medical Engineer Specialist for High-Risk Medical Devices

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Engineer to join our team in Birmingham.

The Company: Our client is an international manufacturer and distributor of high-risk medical devices. They are now hiring for a workshop-based Medical Engineer to work directly with the product.

Salary: The successful candidate will receive a basic salary of £35,000-£40,000 per annum, plus a discretionary bonus of approximately 10-15%.

Key Responsibilities: As the Workshop Engineer, you will be trained in the maintenance and repair of high-risk medical equipment. You will also provide remote technical support to Field Service Engineers and customers, including clinical staff and third-party medical engineering companies. You will investigate customer complaints related to medical equipment, identify product issues, and report them accordingly.

Training and Development: Training and development opportunities are available to ensure your success in this role. You will receive in-depth product training as part of working directly for the manufacturer.

Requirements: Previous experience in maintaining and repairing electronically-biased, electro-mechanical devices is essential. Good IT competency, including using emails, Excel, and internal equipment management systems, is also required. Medical Engineering experience or experience as an engineer in the military (RAF, Navy, HM Forces, etc.) is advantageous but not essential.
