GSL Education - Yorkshire is seeking an experienced Attendance Officer to join our team at a client academy in Sheffield.
About the RoleThis is a part-time position, requiring the successful candidate to work 3-4 days per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing school attendance and be proficient in the use of SIMS software, particularly the Attendance function.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and manage student attendance records
- Identify and address attendance issues promptly
- Work closely with Academy staff, parents, and external agencies to improve student attendance
- Prepare and maintain accurate attendance reports
- Undertake basic reception duties
- Previous experience as an Attendance Officer or in a similar role within an educational setting
- Proficient in the use of SIMS software, particularly the Attendance function
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Please note that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for a new one.
